Biography

Mr. Redsicker earned his Associates of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from Corning Community College. Subsequent to obtaining his degree, he completed his training at the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy in Corning, New York, and served as a Patrolman at the Village of Painted Post and Township of Erwin, New York. He is responsible for the analysis of fire and explosion incidents to address issues involving origin, cause and flame spread. Mr. Redsicker has over 30 years private sector experience in the analysis of over 4,500 fire incidents, involving residential and large commercial structures, trucks, buses, passenger vehicles, heavy equipment, aircraft, marine vessels, including submersible and heating/cooling systems. He has provided expert technical review of other expert analyses of civil and criminal investigations, in regard to the fire industry’s methodologies, guidelines and standards. He is a member of the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) with the following certifications: Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Fire Investigations Instructor (CFII) and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI). Additionally, Mr. Redsicker is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI). He is a contributing author of Practical Fire and Arson Investigation, First and Second Editions (Boca Raton, Florida, 1996), and Handbook of Forensic Science (Boca Raton, Florida, 2002). Mr. Redsicker has provided expert civil and criminal testimony in municipal, state and federal courts of law.
