Automated Steering Controller (ASC)

SEA, Ltd.'s Automated Steering Controller (ASC) is a computer controlled (robot) mechanism utilized for generating precisely controlled and very repeatable steering maneuvers.  Steering profiles can be based off of feedback from vehicle responses, such as vehicle speed.  The ASC can be easily programmed to provide any type of steering profile.  This portable steering controller can be used to conduct all NHTSA rollover and handling maneuvers, including FMVS126.  Advantages of SEA's ASC:

  • Roll rate and/or yaw rate can be monitored and used to prompt steering and handling dynamic maneuvers
