SEA, Ltd.'s Automated Steering Controller (ASC) is a computer controlled (robot) mechanism utilized for generating precisely controlled and very repeatable steering maneuvers.  Steering profiles can be based off of feedback from vehicle responses, such as vehicle speed.  The ASC can be easily programmed to provide any type of steering profile.  This portable steering controller can be used to conduct all NHTSA rollover and handling maneuvers, including FMVS126.  Advantages of SEA's ASC:

• Up to 8 channels of analog input used for feedback to control steering profiles 
• Powerful – Provides over 50 ft-lb (68 N-m) steering torque
• Roll rate and/or yaw rate can be monitored and used to prompt steering and handling dynamic maneuvers
• Playback feature – Records and repeats any driver initiated steering input
• Easy to Install – Replaces vehicle steering wheel
• Driver does not remove hands from ASC throughout test
• User interface is through familiar Microsoft-based Windows software
