Mr. Wallace earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, with concentration in Fire Investigation, from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. His responsibilities at SEA include determining the origin and cause of fires and explosions in commercial and residential structures, as well as motor vehicles, including scenes where OSHA certification for hazardous materials is required. He is also responsible for documenting fire scenes and coordinating engineering activities for the evaluation of electrical and mechanical systems and/or devices. Prior to joining SEA's Fire Investigation Team, Mr. Wallace spent 13 years serving both the Pulaski and Edinboro Fire Departments in Pennsylvania. During that time, he carried out the responsibilities of firefighter and fire investigator.
Mr. Wallace is also an instructor for the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and instructs fire department personnel regarding fire investigations. He is an active member of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Chapters of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII). He has provided expert testimony in state, local, and federal courts of law.
