Mr. Musiker received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and his Master of Civil Engineering in Structural Engineering from North Carolina State University. As a Structural/Civil engineer, Mr. Musiker investigates damaged facilities for cause and extent of loss. Facility categories may include residential, recreational, commercial, institutional, industrial, transportation, earth-retaining, storm-water management, and marine. Mr. Musiker can perform evaluations involving damages, which may occur from degradation due to age and wear-and-tear, exposure to weather over time or discrete weather events, fire, negligence in design or construction, or accident.
Mr. Musiker can also investigate damage or loss that may also occur to facilities under construction to include design error or omission, material defect, and improper installation or erection. Prior to joining S-E-A, Mr. Musiker worked for 13 years at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), which maintains naval facilities worldwide. While working for NAVFAC, Mr. Musiker was involved in the design and analysis of structures consisting of timber, steel, concrete, and masonry materials. A Professional Engineer since 2005, Mr. Musiker is registered in the State of Maryland, and Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Musiker is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and the American Wood Council (AWC).
