You only have one opportunity to present your case at trial.
S-E-A's expertise in failure analysis doesn't end with investigation and research. Our medical illustrators and animators are producing advanced visual support that can have a significant impact on educating juries.
Our 3D animations can bring the nuances of your case to life and provide multiple perspectives of medical devices, anatomical features, and physiology with detail down to the cellular and molecular level.
With provided CT data, we can create 3D models. These can be used within a 3D animation or can be printed to show the exact anatomy and location of an injury sustained by an individual.
The work being done in S-E-A's Visualization Group is incredibly important to us and to our clients.
Because a case isn't made until it is understood.

Thrombectomy and Bypass
When arteries are severed in tragic accidents a series of surgical procedures are necessary in order to properly restore blood flow. This exhibit demonstrates a series of surgical procedures including a Right popliteal artery thrombectomy, debridement procedure, the harvesting of a venous graph, and the bypass between the distal and proximal popliteal artery.
The forces behind bone fracture patterns: Long bones in the body are prone to fractures. When a long bone fractures, there are specific terms for the different patterns. This illustration focuses on the different types of stress responsible for the different bone fracture patterns.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a hand and arm condition that causes numbness, tingling, and other symptoms. Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by a pinched nerve in your wrist. There are a number of factors that can contribute to carpal tunnel syndrome. This illustration focuses on the anatomy of the wrist and the compression of the median nerve.
Bilateral temporal skull fracture: Forensic reconstruction and biomechanical analysis determined the position of this individual based off of the markings found on his body. This illustration demonstrates their findings and correlates the orientation with the injuries sustained by the individual.
Delamination of carbon fiber: When medical devices and prosthesis fail SEA can determine the cause of that fail. By use of a handheld 3D scanner and the creation of a 3D model built from that data, experts where able to identify the failure. This exhibit focuses on a prosthetic foot that failed, showing the location of the failure, and the cause of the failure.
Layers of the cranium: Sometimes you need a detailed look at a specific part of anatomy in order to fully understand its complexity. This illustration focuses on the complexity of the cranium, showing the layering of the skull, meningeal layers, cerebral vessels, and the cerebrum.
Malar surface of the zygoma: Anatomical illustrations are useful during any part of the litigation process. Anytime you can add clarity and understanding to the case will give you the upper hand. This illustration focuses on the zygoma, demonstrating where it connects to the orbit and zygomatic arch.
